Dale Durran was a keynote speaker at the 2nd Annual Meeting of W2W (8-11th Nov. 2016) where he talked about the influence of the spatial scale of initial-condition errors on atmospheric predictability. After the meeting (15-18th November 2016), he visited the meteorological institute in Munich, the institute for Atmospheric Physics in Mainz and the institute of Meteorology and Climate research in Kalrsruhe where he gave colloquium presentations. Dale had many informal and extended discussions throughout his visits, in particular with scientists in projects A1, B3, C2, C3, C4, and C5.
